CNGI-6IX provides high-speed connection service to domestic CNGI backbones and international research networks.

In 2005, European Commission appointed Beijing and Hong Kong to be the two PoPs of total 3 in TEIN2 backbone, in addition, the Network Research Center at Tsinghua University won the bidding for taking the responsibility for the management and operation of TEIN2 backbone, named TEIN2 NOC.

TEIN2 NOC office is located in Hong Kong , and Network Research Center at Tsinghua University provides the technical support.
